Business Development Representative

Cordless is an early-stage startup with a mission to unlock voice content for customer support teams. We believe no one should be waiting on hold listening to terrible elevator music. We build tools for companies to bring together voice and text to create magical experiences for customers.

We are backed by Passion Capital, Entrepreneur First, Fly VC and angel investors from GoCardless, Monzo, Nested, Songkick, Onfido, FreeAgent & Assembled. We are well-funded, have paying customers and looking to supercharge our growth.

We are currently a team of 12 and growing!

The founders - Luba Chudnovets and Irina Bednova - met building Monzo bank, where we scaled an award-winning operations team to support over 3 million customers.

About this role
You will join our sales team as a second hire and will support our Business Development Lead and Founders in growing Cordless.

As part of this role, you will:
  • Take charge of the top-of-funnel prospecting, outreach and qualification phase of the sales process
  • Craft beautiful personalised emails to potential customers and iterate on our messaging and outreach strategy
  • Build and maintain our sales pipeline in a structured and detail-orientated way based on our tracking and performance metrics
  • Work alongside our Business Development Lead on all aspects of the sales process from cold prospecting to negotiating and closing deals with customers
  • Closely collaborate with marketing to build the right messaging for our ideal customer profile
  • Work with the product team to shape our product direction based on what you learn from customer conversations and make sure we're always working on the highest priority thing to help our customers
  • As an early commercial hire you will have a chance to help us grow the team at Cordless
Who we’re looking for
  • You have outbound sales experience (1+ years)
  • You have experience working in a B2B startup and talking to customers
  • You can work independently and are excited to work on all aspects of the sales process

  • £30,000 - £37,000 + 5% sales commission
