Marketing Lead

Cordless is an early-stage startup with a mission to unlock voice content for customer support teams. We believe no one should be waiting on hold listening to terrible elevator music. We build tools for companies to bring together voice and text to create magical experiences for customers on a smartphone.

We are backed by Passion Capital, Entrepreneur First, Fly VC and angel investors from GoCardless, Monzo, Nested, Songkick, Onfido, FreeAgent & Assembled. We've just raised a Seed round and have a couple of paying customers.

We are currently a team of 10 and growing!

The founders - Luba Chudnovets and Irina Bednova - met building Monzo bank, where we scaled an award-winning operations team to support over 3 million customers.

About this role
This is the first marketing role at Cordless. We’re looking for a smart, ambitious generalist who is capable of delivering both hands-on and strategic value for an early-stage startup. In this role you will:

  • Run experiments to test hypotheses and bring analytical rigour to campaigns for informing the go-to-market strategy. Deliver campaigns with a strong bias for growth & business impact;
  • Manage the content calendar, develop Cordless tone of voice and messaging, including defining how we communicate products and features, considering factors like our value proposition, target audience and competitive landscape. You’ll find and engage with influential Twitter and Linkedin accounts and seek out opportunities for guest-posting and interviews. You will be responsible for creating high-quality and relevant content both hands-on and outsourcing when necessary;
  • Hands-on manage Cordless brand online: including measuring and monitoring the organic traffic, optimising for SEO, and overseeing contractors. You will take full responsibility for the Cordless website to make sure it is relevant, engaging and well-monitored;
  • Grow the Cordless brand and community. You will partner with the founders to build and engage with potential partners and build relationships with existing ones. You’ll drive strategy, development, growth and engagement;
Who we’re looking for
  • You have worked in a marketing role in an early-stage startup. Preferably B2B;
  • You are proficient at technical aspects of digital marketing: SEO, campaign management etc.;
  • You have excellent written communication skills;
  • You can work independently. You can take a problem, decompose it, define the completion criteria and drive it to the finish line.

  • £50,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience, plus EMI options
  • Remote work from anywhere in the GMT-3/+3
